Pardon this Interruption...I'll be bragging now!

Report cards are out again.  Well, for a few days now, but I've been marveling at my kids and just how hard they work and what great students they strive to be on a daily basis.

So here's the thing:
  • 3 kids
  • 3 report cards
  • all A's on all report cards!!!!!  AGAIN!!!

WOW!  Great kids!

Now a few side notes...

First, Miles, as a 9th grader, had to take exams. He took 8 exams.  He made a 100 on 4 of those exams, including Geometry and Biology...hello!!!!  I am amazed!  I mean I know he's smart but seriously, 100 on 4 exams.  (Oh yeah and he made a 96, 94, 93 and an 87 on the other exams). A self motivated hard worker!

Next, all the kids have been working really hard, especially during this summer's transition after moving here.  It's been tough at times being the new kids and of course moving from Alaska there was catching up to do, since no two states have the same curriculum.

And on the final note...in this district when the elementary kids make honor roll they receive gift certificates for free dinners at area restaurants.  Looks like we are heading to ....the POPO Family Restaurant in Welfare...I kid you not, that's the name of the restaurant and that's the name of the town....and also to Cheesy Janes.  Should be interesting...I am always up for a free meal or two. I'm starting to like the way they do things here in Texas.

Honestly, we could not be prouder of our kids and how seriously hard they are working! I know some of you may have a vision of me cracking the whip on my kids daily but for the most part an occasional gentle reminder is all that is needed.  We know we are lucky.  Our kids LOVE to learn. But they also watch tv, play video games, play sports, play outside and read a ton.  It is a full and pretty well rounded life for them...for me, well it's lots of laundry and dishes...not so well rounded...I kid...kind of ;).

Charlie and I remind ourselves, and our kids, regularly how great they are and how wonderful we think our family is.  And yes, I should probably ask Miles a few questions about sentence structure...but as I've said...it's my blog and I can have bad grammar if I want to....mu wah ah ah!
