Listen to the Music

Two moves ago we stored a few things at my in laws house and most of those things are still there.  I'm sure if you asked my in laws they might say "a few things?... hello there's half a house here"....and that would be true.

At any rate, one of the things we stored was this old radio which belonged to Charlie's paternal grandparents.

       1942 Zenith Model 10S-669

When they passed he asked to be the keeper of the radio because he remembered visiting their house and loving how beautiful it was. It still works and it really is a beautiful piece of furniture.

One of the reasons we stored it was because we didn't think it could handle the move to Alaska.  There was a rip in the fabric and it had become threadbare and it was in such great condition otherwise, we didn't want to chance it.  Well, my in laws brought it to us when they came for the holidays and Charlie and his mom replaced the fabric.  They did a really nice job! It looks great and we are glad to have it back, safe and sound.
