Together, we cleaned out and organized the garage. Charlie then installed overhead storage racks so we could fit our new purchase in the garage. Also, we are creating a workout area in the garage since we have no hope of ever parking more than one car in there.
Some of you may already know I have a thing for appliances...it's almost embarrassing to bring it up again...but it is what it is! And sadly, I'm excited to be saying this too...we bought a fridge for the garage.
Yes, for those keeping count this is the 3rd new refrigerator I've purchased in the last 7 months. In my defense...I returned/exchanged one so our final count is just two. You know my snazzy kitchen fridge and now my "in the garage, super basic, plain white, serves it's purpose and was a good price model." When your family goes through over a gallon of milk a day and now more than that since Zach has fallen in love with this...
you need to have extra storage. So one of the reasons I hadn't pushed the fridge thing too much was because we still had the stove, that we replaced when we moved in, sitting in the garage. We'd had it on Craigs list for months and had a couple of interested callers but the day after we bought the fridge someone actually came and paid us for the stove and now the stove spot is the fridge spot. If I had known that was the way it worked I would have gone shopping sooner!
So the good things are:
our garage is neater and more organized....we sold the stove...bought a spare fridge...and now I'm in the process of picking out an elliptical machine to finish off the gym area. And here's the biggie...I don't have to go to the grocery store every day. Now I can stockpile milk...and all kinds of good stuff....that I will of course then have to work off on that elliptical machine....ooh I better get moving on the research. Oh and how could I have forgotten...we found a new, and much closer Panera, and had lunch there on Sunday....yay me!!!

We keep saying we are going to get a fridge for our garage....maybe some day! Glad you all had a nice weekend together! And, good for you that you found a closer Panera! Have a bowl of broccoli cheese soup for me!
