More good stuff today

We started our day in Boise, Idaho and with awesome weather we were able to head into Utah and make a stop in Salt Lake City, Utah this afternoon.  Here is a picture of the Capital Building.  Hello...the weather just keeps getting more and more beautiful!

It just so happens we weren't the only VIP's there today.  George W. was also there for a fundraising luncheon.  We were able to see the venue, from a distance, and we were stuck in traffic as we watched his motorcade go by.  We, however, did not attend the luncheon as I understand it was like $70,000 a plate...we are saving our money for gas!
After that we took a drive over to Temple Square and had a quick guided tour of the Temple Visitor's Center.  While we are not members of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint's, we all found this to be very educational and informative.  It is, no matter what religion you are, a beautiful sight.

Now as a testament (no pun intended...ok, maybe a little pun intended) to me being a relaxed participant in this circus we call moving, I give you proof (see photo below) of my ability to go with  the flow.  We parked in this 15 minute parking spot knowing full well that we would not be back in 15 minutes.  Now this is a huge step for me, personally, as I am known as quite the nervous nelly and a major rule follower.

I didn't give it a second thought as we enjoyed our tour. I will, however, admit that upon returning to the car, I was surprised to see it still there and without a boot or ticket. Hey - old habits die hard....I am trying my best.

Tonight we are in Washington, Utah just a few miles from the Arizona border.  Tomorrow we will drive through Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.  We are making tracks!
