How dam good??? Hoover Dam good!!!
We left Utah this morning and it was so warm and sunny. We had been swimming in the outdoor pool in total comfort. I know the temps will remain warm but Utah was pretty close to perfect.
We had big plans today and we didn't quite accomplish them but we did make good use of the day. Brooke was feeling a little under the weather so we made frequent stops for fresh air and leg stretching. We had a picnic lunch at the Hoover Dam which was sunny and warm. (Note: my two favorite new words are sunny and warm.) Remember I'm afraid of heights and it was pretty cool.
The engineering marvel of this place is incredible. As you can see the water level is rather low but it shows such a great contrast of the stone, the water, and the concrete. This is the most "touristy" I have felt thus far, as there were zillions of people...yes I counted, and all just to see a dam. We made it to Flagstaff, AZ today with plans to hit the Grand Canyon first thing in the morning. This will depend on how Brooke is feeling and/or if anyone else contracted her little bug.
