I have been known to be blog dramatic in the past but this time I'm serious....good things do happen to people who spend their day being a good wife and mother (and who possibly sat in her ridiculously oversized closet crying last night because she has no friends here....but enough about that).
This morning I slept in way too late only to wake up to the sound of my husband saying "Do you wanna go to Panera for lunch?" I knew it must be a dream and I could hardly believe it was happening, but sweet man that he is, saw that I had looked up the whereabouts of local Panera Bakeries the other day and was now asking me if I wanted to eat lunch there today. It has been more than two years after last eating at a Panera and here was an offer to drive me into the depths of the concrete jungle of San Antonio and take me to Panera. GAME ON!!!
Here she is...MY Panera...she's beautiful isn't she?
But this is what I really came for...the Sierra Turkey Sandwich with Asiago Cheese Bread (thank you Jackie for introducing me to this sandwich)...sorry it's blurry, I was in a mighty big hurry to get eatin'! I also had a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup...that soup and that sandwich are a fantastic combo for lunch!
After lunch, we poked around the book store. I'd like to say that my kids spend all their time at the book store doing stuff like this...happily looking at books and finding the wonder and amazement in literature...
...and they usually do, but first we always have to hit this area first...
Meanwhile, Brooke left with an I {heart} to draw horses book, Zach left with a Calvin and Hobbs book, and Miles got this really cool, crazy journal called Wreck this Journal by Keri Smith check it out here. It's really fun. OK so technically, no real heavy reading but good, fun stuff to spend the last few days before school starts.
So a big thank you to Charlie for the family lunch date at Panera and to the kids who are just little gems and put up with me saying "let me take a picture of that" like 755 times a day!
