Art Show

Yesterday was the first of a two day art show showcasing art from students of the varying schools in our district.  Miles had a pottery piece showcased.  It's lovely!!

He kept saying...I don't know what the big deal is...umm yeah....it's like the same no big deal that he has the highest average in all of 9th grade in Biology...no big whoop...just another day in the life for Miles.

Here is a piece of art that Zach painted.  It's a monochromatic painting.  He drew inspiration from something we had seen on television about "mexican folk art."

While we were at the art show yesterday we saw some really great art including lots of photography by some of the high schoolers.  Miles is taking digital photography next year and I'm excited to learn a thing or two from him.

This picture was fantastic in person.

After the art show we headed to Miles' baseball game and they are doing so well.  They are halfway through the season and they've only lost two games.  They won last night! Yeah!

Needless to say it was a busy day!

I had a native american mask in the art show once. of course my friend told me it was because the teacher put something of everyones work in the show and it really wasnt because it was that good. Damn those kids who are in FOCUS ART!!!! Truly though it was not that great! Miles work on the other hand was fantastic and Zach...seriously where do your kids their talent, cause its not from our side of the family.
