Halloween 2010

Now, as most of you know, we like to celebrate any and all holidays...and believe me when I say this....Kwanzaa and Chanukah may some day be added to the list...we love a good theme and a reason to celebrate. Halloween comes with it's own built in theme but I think this year, two family members really put it all out there for the sake of this spooky pumpkins-candy-costumes holiday. And yes, you may be frightened by some of the things you are about to witness.

Here is the "skeleton crew" carving away! NO matter how old you get, you are never too old to carve a pumpkin.

Or too young, or old, to make liquid starch and cheesecloth ghosts....and no, that is not me in costume dressed up like an old hag...unfortunately, that's what I look like when I haven't slept enough...which is almost all the time now.

We decorated the yard, complete with one of Charlie's summer art projects, the black spider, and our milk carton ghosts we made, which looked totally adorable all lit up in the dark.

Brooke kept flip flopping on her costume choice so, by the time she decided what to be there was no time for me to make it myself...but I do vow next year to make her a spectacular costume. She's an adorable witch...yes, there is such a thing!! Now you know these boys of mine have a great sense of humor.... here they are folks...my two

Semi-Pro (or semi-inappropriate) Athletes....

Hysterical!!! Totally hysterical!!!! The only costume more hysterical (and way more inappropriate that evening) was the 60 year old guy with chest hair who answered the door in a women's bikini....yeah, for that I would have broken out the sensor bar (for the record that wasn't in my neighborhood and there was a forewarning).

Hope everyone had a Spooktacular Halloween!!
