Slush Fund

So Charlie and I head to the bank today to do some paperwork so we can refinance the house. Well, because we belong to a military credit union we hold all our accounts jointly, but he is considered "the member" since he was the military person. In order for us to jointly refinance I had to open a separate savings account in my name to become a "member" too. It is a formality and sort of silly but we get the account set up. In order to open an account you have to deposit $5. I have them transfer the $5 from our joint checking to this new account. Charlie looks at me, smiles and says "ooooh, you have your own little slush fund now."

UUUhh yeah...what will I do with that whole $5? If anyone has any ideas about extravagant vacations or high priced must have items, please let me know. After all, I have my own slush fund now...it's got $5 in it....and I mean to use it!!!

Cha-ching! I know a store where you can get 5 whole things with $5!! (Okay, almost...you still have to pay tax.) On the other hand, maybe you should save it for a rainy day. You never know when you might need it. Decisions, decisions!
