Candlemas

Today we are celebrating Candlemas...

In France, Catholics celebrate Candlemas (in French: La Chandeleur) by making crêpes, which must be eaten after eight p.m.

If the cook can flip the crêpes with one hand while holding a coin in the other hand, the family is assured prosperity throughout the coming year.

So, since we can always use some prosperity and because we never turn down crêpes...here we go....

all photo credits go to Brooke

They were very good...and as usual the last crêpes were the best. We all like them with different things on them. Brooke had strawberries, Zach wanted Nutella, and Miles, Charlie and I had them with a little butter, a sprinkle of sugar and a small squirt of lemon. Divine!!

And for the record I did use my new cookbook for this recipe, but it is certainly not my first time making crêpes. They were so yummy and simple to make. You should try it sometime.

I would like to request crepes when I spend the night after a hard day of shopping at the outlets with you. Not only would they be yummy, but you could teach me how to make them!!! They look delicious!! Can't wait to see all of you!

I'm with Zach on the Nutella. I cannot get enough of that yummy stuff and have been known to eat it right out of the jar with a spoon, or my fingers. Sometimes I make PB and Nutella sandwiches that I can't stop eating nor can I share.
