All Hallows Eve

So tonight was.....

Yes, I made this banner in my spare time. Cute huh? And I know some people may think that's impressive and all, but wait till you see the costume that Charlie made for Brooke.....

It's french fries....and it is so stinkin' cute!!! Uuuh yeah...I left to go to the school yesterday morning and handed him a supply list and a rough idea of what the costume should look like. He was super pleased with me and even said some super sweet words while I was on my way out...I didn't hear it all but I think it was something like "I love you so much, no problem." Anyway, he headed to Michael's...you know where all manly men hang out, and gathered all the supplies, then headed back to begin assembling this awesome costume. (I know, my banner totally sucks now, doesn't it?)

Seriously...these fries look good enough to eat.

Here they are heading out to trick or treat. By the way, Charlie was Billy Mays, the Oxi Clean guy, who is no longer with us.

Brooke was slowed down on her quest for candy by so many people who wanted to see and touch her fries. It was cute and she was so exhausted by the end of the night...and I did remind her we wouldn't normally let strangers touch our fries....for safety reasons and all.

Now the boys had been talking about their costumes for awhile and honestly I feared for them. They totally wanted to be Bob and Doug McKenzie from the silly 1983 movie "Strange Brew". So this afternoon they got their costumes put together all by themselves and for no cost....

Hey eh....we're Bob and Doug McKenzie...trick or treat eh....

But my fear was for nothing...because 75% of people actually knew who they were. People were like "blast from the past, it's Bob and Doug."

Seriously take a look at this movie shot....

And this picture of the boys (drinking root beer, by the way)......

Oh they are a regular laugh riot. Did you see how closely their costumes matched...and from stuff we had in our closets? That is frightening on many levels. What does that say about our style of dress as a family? Yikes!! And can I just say they both came back with several pounds of candy (and one South Beach bar each..what the????)

The day was beautiful, the costumes were a hit and it was a fun night for all of us!!!!

PS You can still donate to the Run The Gauntlet Fundraiser through this Friday, November 6...just in case you were wondering.

Love the costumes. wish you had a better shot of Billy Mays though...it just looked like Charlie was in regular attire. I can add to that candy selection if you like. Seeing as I did not have one trick or treater! but I do have loads of candy.

Towel off, you wetheads! Coo roo coo coo coo coo COO COO! Or maybe that should read "cuckoo"? Either way, SWEET! Glad to hear you guys had fun, and no snow, not like some northern cities.... I agree with a previous poster - you need a close up of Billy Mays, hoser. And what was YOUR costume, Ma?
