So our summer vacation started off with a visit from some friends who were living in Alaska the same time we did. They literally moved to Alaska the same month we did and also left the same time we did. They have been stationed in El Paso for the last year and are now moving to Rhode Island. They stopped on their way through and hung out for a few days.
We had fun showing them around our new town and they loved seeing all the green grass after living in the desert for a year.
This gang picked up right where they left off....and this seriously sweet baby girl is too cute!!!
Our visit was great.
Now after they left we had a few days with nothing much going on and then we got a wild hair. Round about Wednesday of Charlie's last week of work we started talking about taking a road trip. Then we started talking about going to Virginia...then I was pretty much set on road tripping to Virginia. And so by Thursday evening we decided that as soon as Charlie got off work on Friday we would head out. And indeed we did...
Our trip to Virginia and our visit there will be tomorrow's post. And it will be a LONG one so get yourselves a good night's sleep cause I have much to tell.
I hadn't been in Virginia or seen my parents in 3 years. THREE years. That's way too long! And I took a zillion pictures to make up for lost time....
