I just want to make it clear that this is not my usual genre. I don't usually do sci fi books and definitely not vampire books...and frankly not books that my 13 year old read a year ago....but it is a good read, and with the movie coming out at midnight I'll need to follow my own rule about books that become movies...
HOUSE RULE: You have to read the book first!
Miles reminded me of that when I mentioned that he and I should see the movie. So we will go to see the movie together...but not this weekend...I'm not fully able to go to a movie where I know there will be tons of people who are so into the book that they will be dressed like vampires. We'll wait a week or so and then I can go without having nightmares about whoever is sitting next to me!
If you haven't read this give it a try and if you haven't heard of it...get out from under the rock you are living under!

I read the whole series and i thought it was really good. I want to see the movie too.
Caroline...what a wonderful treat to have you comment here. Miles has also read the whole series and he agrees with you about it being very good. Too bad we don't live closer we could all go to the movie together.
So, I am not living under a rock, I too have read the book, and thought it was great. However, I didn't even think that I might be sitting near vampires when I agreed to take Haley to the movie tomorrow night for her birthday! Yikes! Haley is sitting next to me to read your blog AND we are watching Big Movie Premiere:Twilight on Reelz channel. Anyhoo, we are all about Twilight right now. Leaving for Anchorage in the morning with two teeanage girls and their moms in tow. We're off to see the movie!

I am a huge sci fi nut and I haven't read the books yet but I plan to one of these days. I barely have time to read the paper anymore. Can't wait to read the books and eventually see the movie (when it's out on DVD I'm sure).
