Thoughts of Winter

So they said we were getting snow here in our little part of Texas last Friday. The excitement was in the air!

I should have known.....the forecast started off as 1-3 inches...then it got downgraded to "up to an inch"....then it was well how about "1-3 flakes of snow" and then that's about exactly how much snow I actually I saw...1-3 flakes!

I was bummed because I was so hoping my kids would get a snow day off from school (we never had one of those in Alaska). I had plans to finish decorating the house, make hot cocoa, take our family Christmas card picture and then veg out and watch movies with the family.

Until it really does snow, I'll keep these pictures and memories of winter...real winter....

Who We Are

We are a loving family of five who seem to always be doing something exciting and adventurous. This military family has been all over these United States. We've lived all over the East Coast, in Alaska and Texas. As we retired from the military last year we have decided to hang our hats in Texas...at least for a little while! We'll keep you posted on the exciting changes and challenges...and we'll throw in some great memories and crazy stories along the way! We don't look for crazy stories, they just seem to find us. It's usually a very fun time.
