So they said we were getting snow here in our little part of Texas last Friday. The excitement was in the air!
I should have known.....the forecast started off as 1-3 inches...then it got downgraded to "up to an inch"....then it was well how about "1-3 flakes of snow" and then that's about exactly how much snow I actually I saw...1-3 flakes!
I was bummed because I was so hoping my kids would get a snow day off from school (we never had one of those in Alaska). I had plans to finish decorating the house, make hot cocoa, take our family Christmas card picture and then veg out and watch movies with the family.
Until it really does snow, I'll keep these pictures and memories of winter...real winter....

don't think you'll ever forget what "real winter" is like with LOTS of snow having lived in Valdez. I know i won't!! Happy Holidays in sunny texas from sunny hawaii! :)
OK, enough already with the "sunny" comments, you two! Even though we head to Kona about every two years, I could never live somewhere so hot. Gimme the snow anyday. And if you ever really miss it.... well, that will never happen, so I won't invite you to move back. HA!!
