Huge Thank You

I know, right..super exciting....I'm BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!! Sorry for that crazy gap but Run the Gauntlet was keeping me busy!

And speaking of.....HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped Brooke out on her quest to raise funds for her school. She was the #1 top earner for her grade and she was #2 top earner in her entire school... so she won this electric scooter.

When I was telling her that people were contributing and we were adding up her totals she knew that prizes would be awarded and do you know what my girl said? "Oh my gosh mom look how much money is on my envelope, this is so great for my school!!" Yeah, go ahead and get a tissue....my daughter didn't even think about the prizes at that moment, she was just happy for her school. That being said, I know she really wanted the iTouch, but honestly, she could not be happier that she won this scooter. Plus it means she's outside more and that's always a good thing. She keeps buzzing past me and saying "Laaaatttaaaahh" as in "later"!!

She and her classmates worked very hard to raise $31,286. Pretty amazing. We didn't quite reach our goal but I think now that everyone has seen it, and was amazed by it, we will probably do even better next year. Did I mention it was amazing????

Simple concept.....get the whole school walking outside....do you see those teachers and parents back there?

and enjoy a beautiful day. The weather could not have been better....it's still weird to me that it was the first week of November and Brooke is wearing shorts. It was nippy in the morning but warmed up by the time the kids headed out and was perfect for

eating lunch outside. We had a food court and the kids could buy pizza, nachos, pickles, chips candy, and drinks and then hang out with their friends and chat.

It was amazing and fun and a big hit....and thanks again to everyone who encouraged Brooke, both with words and funds. We appreciate it!!!
